2025年秋，世界格局持续演变，全球经济与国际合作进入新的关键阶段。面对复杂多变的外部环境，渥太华中华会馆谨此呼吁：
upon both nations to approach their relationship with renewed pragmatism, openness, and mutual respect—strengthening dialogue, expanding cultural and economic cooperation, and rebuilding trust for the long-term health and stability of bilateral relations.

1. Dialogue Builds Bridges, Communication Strengthens Trust

Over the past 55 years of diplomatic relations, Canada and China have experienced challenges yet maintained a solid foundation of social and people-to-people ties. We are encouraged by the recent renewal of high-level contacts and constructive communication, which reflect a shared willingness to manage differences through dialogue and cooperation.
CCAO calls for both governments to maintain open and continuous channels of communication, addressing challenges through mutual respect and fostering cooperation based on trust and shared benefit.

2. Cultural Exchange and Economic Partnership

China remains Canada’s second-largest trading partner. The two nations share strong complementarities and vast potential in areas such as technology innovation, education, clean energy, agriculture, and the green economy.
Meanwhile, cultural and human exchanges—ranging from academic partnerships to artistic collaboration, youth programs to community initiatives—continue to deepen mutual understanding.
CCAO will continue to serve as a bridge of cultural and community exchange, promoting dialogue and cooperation that benefits both peoples.

Inclusion and Cooperation as Shared Values

In Canada’s multicultural society, the Chinese community has long upheld principles of peace, inclusiveness, and constructive engagement. We believe that the future of Canada–China relations should not be defined by bias or confrontation, but by understanding and common interests.

We call for:

• Renewing educational, youth, and municipal exchange programs;
• Encouraging collaboration between businesses and academic institutions in innovation and green growth;
• Promoting fact-based, rational public dialogue to replace misunderstanding with knowledge and respect.

Inspiring future

The steady and constructive development of Canada–China relations matters not only to both peoples, but also to the broader peace and prosperity of the Asia-Pacific region and the world.
The Chinese Community Association of Ottawa remains committed to neutrality, rational dialogue, and bridge-building. We will continue working with partners across society to contribute wisdom, goodwill, and civic engagement toward a future of renewed trust and cooperation between Canada and China.

Only through collaboration can we create shared progress; only through understanding can mutual trust endure.
